Evony: The game that's currently raping the internet.
The adverts are ubiquitous. I dare say you've seen one while browsing YouTube or Google. They are loaded onto syndicated-advertising platforms all across the webwork and as a 'researcher' I can come across a good dozen websites in a good day, all carrying Evony ads.
If you have not seen the advert until now (see below) then you should understand that it features cleavage.
Cleavage is the point where the two mammory glands of a human female meet creating a distinctive cleft or, in anatomical terms, an intermammary sulcus.
Cleavage in itself is no bad thing. If i was being sold a bra, a breast-cancer screening or a prostitute then I might expect to see cleavage. But I'm not. So i don't.
'Save The Queen!' the banners scream in a gaudy typeface over a picture of breasts. Not even a Queen's breasts, just breasts. Breasts jacked from an underwear catalogue.
Is there even a Queen to save in the game? No there is not.
Coding Horror have traced the campaigns evolution and you can see first hand how the breasts became ever more pivotal to the composition of the adverts.
To summarise, download Evony if you enjoy inferior browser-based Sid Meyers Civilisation rip offs and unscrupulous marketing.
Yay!
