She may not be a stern yet fashionable looking Italian man, but she is technically an England manager.

Reports have been circulating that the England Football Playing Ladies manager and slightly smaller and less funny Whoopi Goldberg-a-like, Hope Powell, could be in line to take the reigns at lowly fish-loving mans club Grimsby Town.

Chairman and fish tycoon (he really is) John Fenty, was yesterday asked about the possibility of Powell taking over at the League Two strugglers.

“You fucking what!? She’s a girl!” he thought, before diplomatically towing the PC line with a subtle: “If people want to apply we will consider them in due course”.

Powell has not applied for the position, and she probably wont, mainly because she’d have to give team talks in the mens changing room, a place that she and her kind are not allowed.
